The egg incubation tray is great for incubating eggs from smaller reptiles, geckos, and frogs. Made from black plastic (polypropylene), The polypropylene is also very durable and nearly unbreakable. These are dishwasher safe! These fit in 12oz deli cups. Fabri-Kal Alur cups are recommended.
Unpunched cups are recommended. 2-4 small holes (from a thumb tack) are generally all that is needed for airflow. Different species have different humidity needs, so you may need more or fewer holes.
The egg tray is separated into 4 quadrants, so you can keep your eggs clearly marked and separate from other clutches. Allows for space saving in your incubator, as you can incubate up to 8 eggs per 12 oz container!
The tray is based on the suspended incubation method (minimum egg to surface contact with maximum air circulation around the egg.), where the eggs do not touch the substrate, but are suspended above it with the tray. This allows for great air circulation and improves hatch rates!
As you can see in the photos, you can use a variety of incubation mediums (not included): water crystals, vermiculite (not pictured), perlite, Repashy Superhatch, and more! Substrate should be about 1/8″ below the egg tray.
